 மீனாவின் முதல் மாதவிடாய்(பாகம்-1)

Meena’s First Period(PART-1)

(ஒருநாள் காலை இடைவேளையின் போது பள்ளியில்)

சினேகா:ஹே, மீனா! என்னடி இவ்வளவு நேரம்? சீக்கிரம் வெளியே வா. 

Sneha: Hey Meena! Why are you taking so long? Come out quickly.

ஷாலினி:ஏன்டி கத்துற? இப்ப என்ன அவசரம்? பொறுமையா தான் வரட்டுமே.

Shalini: Why are you shouting? What’s the hurry? Let her come at her own pace. 

சினேகா:என்ன அவசரமா? அடுத்த கிளாஸ் யாருதுனு தெரியும்ல.

Sneha: Hurry? You know who the next class is, right?

ஷாலினி:யாருது? ஆ! மேக்ஸ் மிஸ்து! ஹே, ஆமாடி! மீனா இருக்கியா? கிளாஸுக்கு டைம் ஆச்சு.

Shalini: Who? Oh! Math Miss! Hey, yeah! Meena, are you inside? It’s already time for class.

மீனா:வந்துட்டேன் வந்துட்டேன். வாங்க போலாம் என அவசரமாக 

(மீனா கழிப்பறையிலிருந்து வெளியே வந்தாள்.) 

Meena: I’m coming, I’m coming! Let’s go. (She rushed out of the restroom.)

(மூவரும் வேக வேகமாக நடந்து அவர்கள் வகுப்புக்கு சென்றடைந்தனர்.பிறகு கணித ஆசிரியரும் வந்தார். வந்ததும்  பாடத்தை எடுக்க ஆரம்பித்துவிட்டார்)

(The three of them walked quickly to class. Soon the Math teacher arrived and began teaching.)

சினேகா:ஏய் மீனா என்ன, ஒரு மாதிரி இருக்க?ஏதாவது உடம்புக்கு முடியலையா? 

Sneha: Hey Meena, what’s wrong? You look strange. Are you feeling sick?

மீனா:ஆமாண்டி, ரெஸ்ட்ரூம் போயிருந்தேன்ல அப்போ பின்னாடி இரத்தஇரத்தமா வந்திருச்சு.என்ன பண்றதுன்னே தெரியல.இருந்து சுத்தம் பண்ணிட்டு வரத்தான் டைம் ஆச்சே.

Meena: Yeah… when I went to the restroom, suddenly blood started coming out.Ididn’t know what to do. I just cleaned up and came, that’s why it took me time.

ஷாலினி:என்னடி சொல்ற(அதிர்ச்சியுடன்)? 

Shalini: What?! What are you saying? (shocked)

மீனா:ஆமாடி,வயிறு வேற வலிச்சுட்டே இருக்கு.என்னால சுத்தமா முடியலடி...

Meena: Yes… and my stomach is hurting so badly. I can’t sit properly… 

சினேகா:ஏய், நான் வேணும்னா  மிஸ்கிட்ட சொல்லட்டுமா? அங்கேயே சொல்லிருக்கலாம்ல? நாம நேரா நம்ம கிளாஸ் மிஸ்கிட்ட போயிருக்கலாம்ல,ஏன்  இப்படிப் பண்ண?

Sneha: Hey, shall I tell Miss? You should have told her there itself! We could have gone straight to our class teacher. Why did you come here like this?

மீனா:இல்லடி, லேட்டா வந்தா இந்த கணக்கு மிஸ் வெளியே நிக்க வச்சிருவாங்கன்னு பயத்துல வந்துட்டேன் .

Meena: No… I was scared if I came late this Math Miss would make me stand outside. That’s why I just rushed back.

ஷாலினி:போடி லூசு! இப்படி ஆகிருக்கு, எழுந்துடு.நாம நம்ம மிஸ்கிட்ட போயி காட்டலாம்.

Shalini: Silly girl! In this condition, you should get up. Come, let’s go tell our class teacher.

(என ஷாலினி உடனே எழுந்து கணித ஆசிரியரிடம், மீனாவுக்கு வயிறு மிகவும் வலிப்பதாகவும், உடனே சென்று வகுப்பாசிரியரிடம் சொல்ல வேண்டும் என்றும் கூறிவிட்டு,மீனாவைத் தன்னுடன் அழைத்துக்கொண்டு வெளியேறினாள்.)

(Shalini immediately stood up and explained to the Math teacher that Meena had severe stomach pain and they needed to inform the class teacher. Taking Meena with her, they left the room.)

ஷாலினி:மீனா, நில்லுடி! உன் டிரெஸ் பின்னாடி ஈரமா இருக்கு.இப்ப தான் பாக்குறேன்,என்னடி இவ்ளோ வந்திருக்கு! 

Shalini: Meena, wait! Your dress at the back is wet. Oh no… how much has come out!

மீனா:எனக்கு மட்டும் என்னடி தெரியும்? திடீர்னு இப்படியெல்லாம் நடக்குது.ஒரு வேல எனக்கு "வயிற்றில கேன்சரா" இருக்குமாடி? 

Meena: Do you think I know what’s happening? It’s all sudden. What if I have stomach cancer or something?

ஷாலினி:ஹே,அப்படில்லாம் இருக்காது.அதெல்லாம் பயப்படாதே.

Shalini: Hey, don’t talk nonsense! It won’t be like that. Don’t be scared.

மீனா:இல்லடி,எனக்கு பயமா இருக்கு(கண்ணை கசக்கிக்கொண்டு அழ ஆரம்பித்தாள்.)

Meena: No, I’m really scared… (her eyes welled up with tears).

ஷாலினி:மீனா,ஒன்னும் ஆகாதுடி.நான் கடவுளை வேண்டிக்கிறேன். 

Shalini: Don’t worry, Meena. Nothing bad will happen. I’ll pray to God for you.

மீனா:நீ வேற அமைதியா இருடி எனக்கு இப்படி ஆச்சுனு  தெரிஞ்சா என் அப்பா ரொம்ப கவலைப்படுவாரு.

Meena: Please be quiet… If my father comes to know something like this has happened to me, he’ll be very upset.

ஷாலினி:பெரிய விஷயம்லாம் எதுவும் இருக்காது. நீ ரத்தம் வருதுனு  சொல்றத பார்த்தா, நான் எங்க பெரியப்பா வீட்டுக்கு போனேன்ல, அப்ப எங்க பெரியப்பாவும் அவர் பாத்ரூம் போனா இரத்தம் வருதுனு  ஏதோ மாத்திரலாம் சாப்பிட்டாரு.ஆன்! அது பெயர் கூடியோ "பைல்ஸ்"னு சொன்னாங்க உனக்கு வந்திருக்குறதும் அதுதான் நான் நினைக்கிறேன்.

Shalini: Don’t think it’s something serious. From what you said about blood, when I went to

my uncle’s house, my uncle also used to have bleeding when he went to the restroom. He took some

medicine. They said the name of that problem is “piles.” I think that’s what you have too.

(என பேசிக்கொண்டே இருவரும்,சிறிது நேரத்திலேயே ஏழாம் வகுப்பு ஆ-பிரிவின் ஆசிரியை அறைக்கு  வந்தடைந்தனர்.ஷாலினி மீனாவுக்கு நடந்த அனைத்தையும் ஆசிரியரிடம் கூறினாள்.)

(Talking like this, both of them soon reached the staff room of the 7th Standard “A” section. Shalini

explained everything to the teacher.)

ஆசிரியர்:மீனா,அப்படியா? ஷாலினி சொல்றதுலாம் உண்மையா?

Teacher: Meena, is this true? What Shalini is saying?

(என ஆச்சரியத்துடன் கேட்டு மீனாவின் உடலினைப் பார்த்துப்  பிரச்சனை என்ன என்பதனை புரிந்துகொண்டார்.)

(The teacher looked at Meena and immediately understood what the issue was.)

ஆசிரியர்:இங்கேயே இரு மீனா இதோ வந்துடுறேன் (என ஒரு அறையில் சென்று பமாற்றுத்துணி மற்றும் சானிட்டரி பேட் ஒன்றை எடுத்து வந்து மீனாவின் ஆடையை அவிழ்க்கச் செய்து அணிவித்தாள்.)

Teacher: Stay here, Meena. I’ll be back. (She went inside a room, brought some cloth and a sanitary pad, and helped Meena change.)

மீனா:மிஸ் என்னது மிஸ் இது?இத போட்டுக்கிட்டா இரத்தம் வராதா? எனக்கு ரொம்ப பயமா இருக்கு மிஸ் நா சாகப்போறேனா? 

Meena: Miss, what is this? If I wear this, will the bleeding stop? I’m very scared, Miss. Am I going

to die?

ஆசிரியர்:அடிப்பாவி! யாரடி உனக்கு பிரச்சனைன்னு சொன்னா? நல்ல விஷயம் தான்டி, நீ வயதுக்கு வந்திருக்க,சந்தோஷமான விஷயம். இதப்போய் சாகப்போறேனா அது இதுனு பேசிட்டிருக்க. ஏன்டி ஷாலினி உனக்கு தெரியாதா? நீ அவக்கிட்ட சொல்லிருக்கலாம்ல. 

Teacher: Oh silly girl! Who said you’re sick? This is not a problem at all — this is good news. It means you’ve grown up now. It’s a happy thing. Why are you talking about dying and all? Hey Shalini, don’t you know about this? You should have told her!

ஷாலினி:மிஸ்.. மிஸ்.. அது எனக்கு சட்டுன்னு ஞாபகம் வரல மிஸ் (என பொய் சொல்லி நழுவினாள் ஷாலினி.)

Shalini: Miss… I… it didn’t strike me at that moment (she lied, trying to escape).

மீனா:(மனதிற்குள்)  அடிப்பாவி "பைல்ஸ்"னு சொல்லி பயமுறுத்திட்டு மிஸ்கிட்ட மறந்திருச்சின்னா சொல்லுற!

Meena (thinking): Oh, so she scared me saying “piles” and then conveniently forgot to tell Miss the truth!

மீனா:மிஸ்,வயதுக்கு வந்ததுன்னா என்ன மிஸ்(ஆர்வமாக)?

Meena (aloud): Miss, what does it mean when you say “grown up”? (curious)

ஆசிரியர்:ஐயோ டைம் ஆச்சு, இதை நா பாக்கவே இல்லேயே. 11 மணிக்கு மீட்டிங்க போணும்(என பேசிக்கொண்டே). மீனா, நா உங்க வீட்டுக்கு கால்பன்னி சொல்லிடுறேன். அவங்க வந்ததும் நீ உங்க கிளாஸ்ல இருக்க  மிஸ்கிட்ட சொல்லிட்டு கிளம்பிடு. ஆன்! வாழ்த்துகள் மீனா!!.பார்த்து பத்திரமா வீட்டுக்குப்போ.

Teacher: Oh no, I completely forgot to check the time. I have a meeting at 11 o’clock. Meena, I’ll call your house and inform them. Once they come, you stay with your class teacher until then. Okay? And… congratulations, Meena! Take care and go home safely.

(பிறகு இருவரும் அவர்களது வகுப்பிற்குத் திரும்பினர்.மீனா அனைத்தையும் எடுத்து வைத்து தயாராக இருந்தாள்.)

(Both girls returned to their classroom. Meena was ready with the things the teacher had given her.)
